Amy Sklar is a partner at Capetola and Divins, PC and has been a licensed attorney in New York for 42 years and a licensed attorney in Florida for 40 years.  She is also admitted to practice in the Eastern and Southern Districts of the Federal Court system.

Amy attended the University of Vermont for undergraduate school and obtained a BA in Womens’ Studies, a major she designed, and which is now a permanent course of study at that school.  She also attended Hofstra University School of Law where she obtained her degree of Juris Doctor.  Amy has specialized in her practice of law in the matrimonial and family law field of law for all of her professional life. 

Amy has significant trial experience as well as excellent negotiating skills.  She is knowledgeable, detailed, and compassionate in the representation of her clients in all divorce-related matters including but not limited to support, custody and the distribution of assets.  Amy carefully listens to the circumstances of her client’s situation and concerns and informs them of their options.  Amy gives her clients close and continuous guidance through the legal process of their case, advocating for their best interests and outcome.  She keeps her clients apprised of what to expect along the way.

Amy is the recipient of an Outstanding Women in the Law award.  She is also a Top Attorney of North America award recipient as well as a Continental Pinnacle Professional Member.  She is a Who’s Who Client Champion with Silver Distinction and is included in Who’s Who of American Women as well as other Who’s Who journals for professionals and business people.
