
BIOGRAPHY
Bradley L. Kaufman joined Capetola & Divins, P.C., in 2025. Before joining Capetola & Divins, P.C., Mr. Kaufman earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology with a minor in Political Science, cum laude, from the State University of New York College at Cortland in 2011. In 2018, Mr. Kaufman then earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

While in law school, Mr. Kaufman was a senior staff member on the Touro Law Review. Mr. Kaufman interned with the Hon. Conrad D. Singer in Nassau County Family Court. Mr. Kaufman also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York – Criminal Division. In addition to these internships, Mr. Kaufman also clerked at a premier, boutique law firm, in Suffolk County, concentrating on family and matrimonial matters.

After law school, Mr. Kaufman worked at a private firm in Nassau County, which defended municipalities and employers in actions involving claims of Federal Civil and Constitutional Rights violations. In 2019, Mr. Kaufman became a public defender with the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society representing indigent clients facing charges of simple violations all the way up to serious felonies. Mr. Kaufman left the public sector to become senior attorney at a private firm focusing on criminal law where he represented clients charged with crimes in counties across New York State.

Mr. Kaufman has conducted a myriad of administrative hearings, and pre-trial hearings, some of which have resulted in suppression of evidence, and ultimately, dismissal of all charges. Mr. Kaufman has also conducted trials to verdict, which have resulted in acquittals. Mr. Kaufman has authored numerous successful motions, which have resulted in published judicial decisions. Mr. Kaufman appeared on and was interviewed by news12 Long Island for a criminal case which garnered a lot of press.
