Jennifer L Garber

BIOGRAPHY

Jennifer L. Garber joined Capetola & Divins, P.C. in 2013.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Garber worked in a boutique matrimonial firm in Manhattan.

Ms. Garber is a graduate of the University of Connecticut (BA, History) and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. During her time at Brooklyn Law School, she was a member of the Journal of Law and Policy and Mediation Clinic. After graduation, Ms. Garber completed a post-graduate fellowship in the Kings County Law Department.

Ms. Garber represents clients through all stages of divorce proceedings, including equitable distribution, child support, maintenance, custody, parenting time, and the drafting of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. Ms. Garber also handles all Family Court matters, including support, custody, enforcement and family offense proceedings. Ms. Garber practices in the Family and Supreme Courts throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the five boroughs. Ms. Garber also handles complex civil litigation matters in New York State and Federal Courts.

Ms. Garber is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section, Trial Lawyer’s Section), Nassau County Bar Association, Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, and Suffolk County Bar Association. Some of Jennifer’s honors include Super Lawyer New York Metro Rising Stars (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020), Lawyers of Distinction (2020), and the American Registry Top Young Attorneys In The New York Metro Area (2019).
